Cellist Han Bin Yoon

Korean Concert Society is pleased to announce that cellist Han Bin Yoon, 25, a student of Ralph Kirschbaum in cello performance at the USC Thornton School of Music and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music, has been chosen for the 2013 Kennedy Center Debut Recital. He will perform on October 20, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater.

Christine Lee, 21, a student at the Curtis Institute, was chosen as the alternate, and will perform at the recital in the event that Han Bin Yoon cannot.

Judges David Hardy  and James Lee of the National Symphony Orchestra chose the winners from among eight outstanding applicants on May 7.
